#mydirtymoney
We the people of the commerce world, in order to form a more perfect shopping experience, establish that we deserve good customer service, insure that our safety during a service exchange is a priority, provide experience reviews that are honest, promote accountability of the organizations that we support with our dollars, and secure the right to call bullshit when we see it.
Im not rich. So when I spend my money on things, I expect a certain caliber of service in return. I found myself being pissed off by American Airlines, Uber AND JetBlue this weekend. Let’s discuss the BS…
1—#CallBullshit1 American Airlines— I started with an 8am flight. I decided I wanted to get to my destination earlier. So I PAYYYY EXTRA for the 6am flight. Less than 10 hours later, at 4:45AM on my way from my house to the airport, I get a call from American Air, noting that the 6am flight has been delayed, so I was re-assigned to the 10am flight. Getting me to my destination 2 hours later than my original itinerary, and 4 hours later than my ADDITIONALLY PAID itinerary. So now I’m $75 more in the hole, late for my plans, sleep deprived and pissed off. #Fail
2— #CallBullshit2 Uber— I am a fan of Uber. I’ve used it on 4 continents, 6 countries and 10+ cities. However, this weekend, I met the top 5 worst drivers in the history of Uber. One guy accepted my request for a ride. He was 5 minutes away. 25 minutes later he was still 5 minutes away. When he finally showed up, I asked him what took so long. Then he hit me with the zinger for the night— “Oh I was at home”. #Fail. Another guy, brought his friend along for the ride. The friend was drunk (or high not sure), had a staring problem which was uncomfortable, because he physically had to turn around, from the front seat to stare. Not to mention I low-key, maybe even hi-key, was offended when they just assumed I worked at the local Kroger. #Fail.
3— #Callbullshit3 JetBlue— While waiting to board my flight, I had the misfortune to encounter the MVP of the Petty Crocker Awards. She came in the form of a JetBlue staffer, and her secret weapon was her loud and crude comments to passengers with a finishing move of following her victims as they walk away from her shouting “GO AHEAD AND TELL THEM ALL THE BAD THINGS ABOUT ME”… #Fail… All this as the flight was delayed 45 minutes. Thanks Oneyma (Thats her name)… May you have 7 consecutive missed flights in your future.
These moments were the epitome of a #mylifeofkai moment. It’s the moments like these that force me to check for cameras. I’ve had the unwavering feeling that Ashton Kutcher has had it out for me for the last 15 years. Im still sure he does. Im just waiting on him to jump from behind the bushes. Because ALLL OF THIS felt like a big ass joke.
